There is plenty to see and do in the area. Culturally, we are well placed for the County Museum where you can view the prehistoric remains of Wrexham’s own “Brymbo Man”.
Nearby Llangollen, which is world famous for its Eisteddfod, also holds jazz and food festivals. Chirk and Holt each has a castle to explore while Offa’s Dyke is of notable historic importance.
Chester is in easy reach for sightseeing, shopping and the Races, which are also held even closer to hand at Bangor-on-Dee.

 The border town of Chirk stands on the escarpment above the point at which the rivers Ceiriog and Dee meet. Chirk Castle is a magnificient 700 year old marcher fortress built by King Edward I. Owned by the National Trust, the castle is open to the public.
 The Wrexham County Borough Council's Web site keeps you up to date with what's new in business, industry, the community, sport, leisure and tourism throughout the region. If you need to know what's going on in Wrexham, it will be here somewhere!
